We met the famous Tina! From 2 very fussy hotel stayers, we were pleasantly surprised that the ibis hotel succeeded the travelogue and some premier inns! Room was great and cozy, a little bit of a shock with everything so intimate, but we had the best nights sleep we've ever had in a hotel… the only thing that lets it down is the noise from outside isn’t great with the boy racers, but that was minor! And the parking is abit of a pain, The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful! We will be back! Jade&liam
We stayed here as my partner at the time has family in Portsmouth. This was a brilliant location, there was only 2x downsides for me. 1 was the lack of parking, if there were no spaces in the hotel parking, we had to park in the retail park opposite at the far back. We had to move the car over to the hotel quickly to unload. The second was there was an issue with our room as the lock on the window was broken prior to us staying. We reported this to reception and they were really helpful. Other than parking, I would definitely stay again especially with the location to Fratton park as I’m a football fan. It’s also very close to town and local amenities also.
Shower great. Room temperature perfect (20C all the time with AC on- can turn off). Openable window. Bed comfortable. Really clean. Kettle on request. Really quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Could check out upto midday.
The rooms are spa ious everything you need. Bkt was first class and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Also dog friendly which for me is a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend.
Good location for any football fans wanting to stay near Fratton Park. Staff were helpful and rooms were comfortable. Overall, I would stay again if I was visiting, there was a strange noise in the room but it just became white noise after a while. Managed to get to the gym in the morning and there are shops and places to eat including Tesco, McDonalds, independent takeaway and more. We lost 2-1 and conceded in the last minute after equalising. Up until then we had "NEVER LOST AT FRATTON PARK" I could hear some Pompey fans outside but they became white noise as well for me, would've been better if a breakfast was included in my booking...
Very close to fratton park and parking available. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Located within short distance from shops. The lift wasn't working which was only found out on arrival, may have been an idea to inform guests before in case they needed to change hotels
Staff were great, really friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were functional. I don't really have any complaints just wouldn't rate it as high as Premier Inn despite being more expensive.
Budget hotel is a bit of an understatement. It is basic. Think more like a clean youth hostel than a hotel. It has the basics per room. A clean and comfortable bed, toilet, sink, shower, TV, desk, stool and bin. No frills or extras. No kettle or tea/coffee facilities in room. The paint on one of the walls in my room was a bit tired, and general maintenance wasn't great, but everything was clean and I just needed somewhere to sleep for the night, which is what I got. Staff were kind and friendly when I saw the.
